Exploring Beauty in Colour and Form
A collection of paintings in oil on canvas, accompanied by several smaller works on wooden panels. Limited edition prints will also be available.
In my artwork, colour and light are paramount. I aim to create the illusion of transparency, highlighting how form and colour interact. The sharp, defined edges and vibrant colours dance lightly across the canvas, emphasising the beauty of colour itself. I explore the ever-changing nature of life, using translucence and light to express ideas of enchantment, beauty, and impermanence. Through my pieces, viewers catch glimpses of imagined worlds and ethereal landscapes, inviting them to contemplate the transient aspects of existence.
About the artist
Jill has had a highly successful career as a publishing illustrator she is a member of Illustrators Association of Australia, Society of Australian Authors and Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She is currently teaching art and illustration workshops in local community houses and at Ticker Artsspace.
Her foray into fine art painting and works on paper incorporate her passion for colour and beauty using shapes and motifs in her signature style.
