This is a curated group exhibition by Jacqui Christians, Emily Lowe and Elizabeth Cogley - 3 local artists who often muse on birds as subjects in their work. From highly detailed realism in oil and acrylic to small twitty characters in clay and gouache, this exhibition captures all our familiar and much loved feathered natives.
Emily Lowe enjoys painting the natural world, mostly fauna and flora in acrylic. She has won 3 peoples choice award at open studios for her bird paintings.
Elizabeth Cogley is a multi award winning wildlife painter who works primarily in oil on canvas. Her birds are presented in native settings and are highly detailed and realist .
Jacqui Christians is a local artist who participated in open studios for over 10 years. Her colourful expressionist style of painting captures still life, landscapes and local birds.
